What I’m doing

Keep your eye on the ball and execute a good follow through.

Fun golf activities, in ascending order.
3. Driving range.
2. Mini Putt.
1. Golf Cart.
Add alcohol to make even better (or to make real golf more tolerable).

What if I’d rather execute a Gambon?
(no, I don't really want to do that, he's great)

With a driver, put that ball just inside your left foot, and a lot further from your body than you think you should. Drop the right shoulder low. Keep the left arm pointed straight down and keep it straight on the backswing. Swing it out horizontally, almost more like a baseball bat than a golf club. Swing through the ball.
(Those are the 5 best pieces of advice I’ve ever gotten...out of 100+. And I still suck at golf, but they helped. Irons and putting are a whole different ball game.)

You forgot #562 - actually playing 18 holes of golf in the sun on a course that doesn’t allow carts.

I agree, Drink while your playing, messing up is much more acceptable and you can blame it on the booze.

If you're really good (bad) like me you can hit the thing at just the correct angle to bounce off the corner of the barrier on the right side and have it ricochet into your friend's temple in the slot next to you.

I was actually going to add VW as #1, but it didn't really work with my ending =/

I’m going to swing some kind of club-headed rod at some air...hoping to hit a spherical object on a pedestal of sorts.

Or hit the guy who goes out to collect the balls.

Open your stance but not too much. A line drawn through the tips of your feet should point directly at where you want to hit. Resist the urge to shift the weight over your right foot back onto the heel on your backswing. Your upper right arm should stay more or less by your side when swinging, pivot it at the elbow, not the shoulder. Let the weight of the club do the swinging for you, trying to put muscle into it can screw up your aim.

This I’d actually a field I’m quite good at. The best piece of advice I can give is to keep your grip pressure light. Just light enough to keep the club in your hand. Clear your mind once that club goes back.

we played 9 holes, 4-man scramble. We used 5 of my shots out of 37 officially scored.
Not bad for a first timer lol. I’m not planning on making golf a regular thing yet in my life, but it was much more fun and relaxing than I expected it to be
